About Us:

Scott's Pointe is a premier destination located in Calverton, NY. Our venue is home to the Lakeview Terrace Bar & Grill, we provide food and beverage service to our restaurant, 2 bars, and lakeside VIP Cabanas. We are able to cater large events such as: corporate banquets, weddings, holiday parties, and other special occasions. 

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at the Lakeview Terrace Bar & Grill. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare high-quality dishes in line with our menu. You will ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of your workstation and adhere to all health and safety regulations. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Ensuring that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation.

About You:

• Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
• Familiarity with industry best practices.
• Able to work various shifts that may include weekends.

Physical Demands:

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 30 pounds.
